hi. well would you look at that. it has been 5 months since the last post. sorry we are slackers. but we are still a band and we do still play shows. so yeah. to update now. we have a few new songs we are working on. we have 3 places that want to record us for free...SWEET! adam page from fifty cent faith has been filling in on bass for a while...if anyone is interested in being a permenant bass player for us, email us at yourstruly_band@hotmail.com. and i know we have been saying we will have a new page up soon, but you know how things happen, you get so close to getting something done, but then the bad luck just buries you alive. but we promise that we will have one up and running before the end of this year. we have been talking with the newly reformed Craigs Brother recently..so expect some amazingly great news involving those guys soon. plus we just might once again have a new vocalist. we will keep you guys posted when things become more set in stone. ok..well that is about all for now. i might have some more updates later this week about shows and what not. until then i will talk to you later.

Ok...so it has been a few days since our last update...but who's counting anyways? So we lost battle of the bands; Congrats to our friends in Fifty Cent Faith for conquering the hill and thanks to the 52 of you that came out to see us that night...we were just a few people away from winning. So now here come the excuse for the lack of updates. We have been writing like madmen! Which means, SEVEN BRAND NEW SONGS. We are very happy with the new material and we hope for the same response from you all at the shows. So if you are anxious to hear some of the new stuff or are just a bit curious about what we have been up to or you just want to scream about how hot you think we are, we have a show on Sat. December 13 at Jack Rabbits with our friends Estelle and others.(more info. on that in the shows section). The Get Off the Couch vol. 2 is FINALLY out. you can purchase it at our shows at some unrestricted price. It is an awesome comp and we give thousands of wicked mad props to Joe, Ian, and the rest of the Burning Couch Crew for putting it together. And lastly, we are still looking for a vocalist (scroll down for the details). Rock n' Roll! Saturdays show with Dogwood was great. You can read all about it in the shows section. The only other news is that we are now looking for a lead vocalist...again. Victor is not longer in the band and we need a replacement that is, at bare minimum, as good as he was.Do not worry about being able to cing as high as him or not...we are not looking for a singer based on tones...but on his ability to sing in key. Hey hey all. So not too much goin on in Yours Truly land. We just have a few reminders and notices and thats all. First up is our show on the 12th with one and only Dogwood. It cost 10 bucks at the door and the doors open @ 7:30. This show should be packed and we are playing first so get there early.We are also on the lookout for a new and extremly talented voalist. We are still alive and have not broken up. In all actuallity, we have done quite the contrary. We have recently completed our first short length cd. We recorded three songs and are selling it for 5 bucks. The last two shows have been incredible. Jack Rabbits did not have the best turn-out...but we still took the stage and rocked out for the 50 or so people there. To sum that show up...pure mayhem! We still have one more show on July 12 at Murray Hill with Dogwood, the Fighting Jacks, and Estelle. We are also playing on Aug. 22 at Murray Hill's King of the Hill(battle of the bands). The winner will more than likely be based on how many people voted to see them. So everyone that has ever seen us or heard us or knows us...come to that show and support us and show Murray Hill that we are Jacksonville's favorite band. We are also going to be on the Get Off the Couch vol.II compilation which is being put out by Burning Couch Records. For those who are unfamiliar with that comp, it consist of only the best or the best among the Jacksonville local alternative scene. Some other bands that are signed up include Evergreen Terrace, Inspection 12, Estelle, Far From Eden, Soapbox 7, Scarlet Holiday, Lurch and Vicious Hick, Stole Your Woman, Died Trying, and many more of the bast talent in Jax. There will be a release party/festival sometime late july with every band on the comp. Well...after a couple months of silence, that should be enough rambling on to satisfy you all for a bit.

HAPPY EASTER!!! We have a new guitarist. Sean Doyle will be taking the right side of the stage rockin out with us. We are heading into One Louder Recording Studio(ex-boredom/my captain members) May 10th and 11th. We will be releasing a three song demo which will include two great recordings and an acoustic version of one song. It is gonna be sick. More updates on that later. Also, we are playing with Dogwood!!! Happy Day.

Sorry about the lack of updates. A lot of stuff has happened in the last month. First off, the show on March 13 went ok. I personally would have liked it to go smoother, but we did not suck- so I guess that is ok. Now to the REALLY important news. Vocalist Mike Coffman has been replaced by Victor Fernandez. Victor is doing incredibly well and adds a totally new sound to Yours Truly-(wait...could it be...good. *winki*wink*) Good lunk to Mike and all of his schooling that he will persue. Also, Brian Staub called it quits on rythym guitar. We all agreed that it was for the better of the band. So we wish the best for Brian wherever he goes (rumor is that he is playing with xif i should diex now, so check out their next show and support Brian and his first performance with them). We are currently auditioning people to fill Brians shoes. Wassup Rockers! First of all, our show on the 22nd was great! Thanx to all of you who came out to support us. There were a total of 114 people there and 72 voted to see us. How awesome is that! We can not thank you guys enough. Now, we have a new objective for you guys and girls out there: Because of the success of the last show, we were invited back to play on the 13th with 7-10 Split, Off the Record, and Nuclear Saturday. If you liked what you heard from us at our last show, then you will love all of the bands at this show. Plus we have a positive little suprise for you if you come. So tell all yours friends to come check us out on Thursday, March 13th at Murray Hill. There is no school on the 14th because of a teachers planning day, so no "late night" excuses. Thanx again for your support and see you at the show--we want to DOUBLE the attendance!!!

Hey Hey! So the new Juliana Theory cd, "Love," came out yesterday. It is truly amazing!!! Also, I just found out that Thrice just entered the studio for there fourth release...we are totally stoked about that too. Now about us...at least for the three or four of you that ever come here and look at our crummy page...we really need you guys at our show on the 22nd. Who am I kidding, of course you guys will be there, because you actually came to our web page...we really need you to spread the word about our show and bring as many of your friends as possible. The show is only 7 bucks and it is on a Saturday night when no other shows are going on. So there is none of that..."Jack Rabbits is having a better show, so I think I will go there"...stuff. So everyone should be at Murray Hill Theatre on February 22, 2003 with 7 dollars (and maybe 3 more for the great milk shakes in the cafe). Ok...thanx everyfour of you for your support. I am now officially done babbling.

Hello everyone! We hope you all had a great New Year and did not get too messed up. Considering that we are all straight-edge, we enjoyed our Welches White Grape Cider. As for the page, expect the brand new yourstrulyrock.com to be up in a month. We are all very excited with the things that are ahead for the band. First, there is the Murray Hill show towards the in of Feburary. Then, another show at the hill with 7-10 Split and Off the Record on March 13. We also plan on getting into the studio in March. Finally, there is a possiblity of Cornerstone Festival Florida(we will keep you posted). As for this page, be sure to check out the lyrics section to see our new song "A Meaningless Death."
